Hendrickson Rd, Sequim, WA</div> <bR> <div> <B>THE CLALLAM COUNTY GEM AND MINERAL Society</B> is a group interested in rocks, minerals, fossils, lapidary, jewelry and the earth sciences. <U>We meet at 7 pm, on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, except July and Dec, at </U><B><U>The 5th Avenue Retirement Center</U></B><U> (2nd floor)</U>. Visitors are always welcome. Our monthly meetings discuss club activities, and usually feature short programs or show-and-tells given by guest speakers or members. The monthly "Ore-Bits" newsletter, is sent by mail and via Internet. Each fall, the club holds its annual rock and gem show, traditionally the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of October, at Carrie Blake Park.</div> <bR> <div> Our Lapidary Shop (81 Hooker Rd, Unit 5) offers an array of saws, grinders, sanders and polishers for use by members who have experience or training with the equipment, for $4 per 3-hour session. There is a Lapidary Basics Class for newcomers. The shop is available Monday mornings (9 to 12 noon), and Wednesday afternoon (noon to 3 pm) and Wed. evening (6 to 9 pm) The club also offers <I><B>Tuesday</B></I> evening Wire-Wrap class from 6 to 9 pm (cost of materials plus a $2 donation for building). <I><B>Thursday</B></I> Classes are also held in <U>silversmithing at the shop</U>. <U>Casting, copper-based enamel  beadmaking, beading, rock-painting, gem-tree making, flintknapping</U>, and other related projects, are scheduled when availability of instructors and members' interests allow.</div> <bR> <div> <I><B>Please call to confirm class information.</B></I> Contact: general info, classes, show (<B>Wanda Power</B>); wire-wrap,silversmithing, shop (<B>Foster Thompson</B>); lapidary shop supervisor (<B>Lester Mears </B>)</div> <bR> <div> <B>DUES:</B></div> <div> <B>INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS:</B>  $20 FOR THE FIRST YEAR (includes one-time cost of name tag).
