Foster Thompson teaches a weekly wire-wrapping class in the mezzanine meeting room of the 5th Avenue Retirement Center in Sequim. He starts new wire-wrappers with a basic learning exercise that can be completed on their first night: a simple wire cross. (See below) 85% of the techniques needed to wrap almost anything at all are covered in that first lesson. Subsequent lessons address how to wrap stones of various kinds. (See below.)
All materials are provided at cost, as well as the tools required for the learning sessions. Participants are encouraged to obtain their own tools after they decide whether they want to continue with wire-wrapping. It doesn't get any more "low-risk" than that!
